Commercial Online Banking - Login Help

Sunwest Bank Online™ gives you a single, secure point of access for cash management functions. The system is easy to use and includes special features to minimize your data entry, as well as security and entitlements to ensure that only the appropriate people have access to sensitive financial data.

Requirements for Using the System

To use the system you must have a computer capable of running a certified Microsoft Internet Explorer browser with 128-bit encryption. Users should keep their Web-browsers updated to the latest version and apply security patches as they are released.

How do I determine Microsoft Internet Explorer encryption level?

  1. > From Internet Explorer's file menu click on "Help"
  2. > Select "About Internet Explorer"
  3. > On the screen that appears, the Cipher strength should say "128-bit"

Please note that Popup blocking software must be deactivated. Certain features require popup screens.

Security

The system uses the most recent technology to ensure the security of your Internet transactions. Security features include:

  • > Secure log on and associated access control features
  • > 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security protocol to encrypt data passing between you and the financial institution
  • > Forced password change
  • > Minimum password length
  • > Timeouts to log out inactive users
  • > Manual locks to block and restore access to users
  • > User profiles to control each user's data viewing and processing capabilities

Your role in security

You should always take the following steps to ensure security:

  • > Do not share your Customer ID and Password with anyone else. Bank employees will never request this information by email or over the telephone.
  • > Make sure no one is watching you when you type in your Customer ID and Password.
  • > Use the most recent version of a recommended browser that supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and 128-bit encryption. Maintain your browser by keeping all security updates current.
  • > To verify that your online session is secure, look for https:, instead of http:, on the URL, and a secure symbol (for example, closed padlock, key) on the status bar of your browser located on the lower part of your screen.
  • > Always logout of your online session. Do not leave your computer unattended during an online session.
  • > Immediately report incidents of unauthorized account access.
